Introducing the BioRePeel

The BioRePeel is a fairly new, innovative peel that uses bio-stimulation in order to revitalize the skin- giving this treatment its name. A traditional chemical peel is a procedure designed to rejuvenate the skin by facilitating the shedding and sloughing of damaged surface layers. Typically, traditional chemical peels employ a solution of acid-based chemicals that, after being applied to the skin, encourage the peeling of layers of dead skin cells. The result = revealing new, healthy skin. Although traditional chemical peels are extremely effective and have a valuable place in aesthetics, BioRePeel is unlike traditional chemical peels that primarily rely on intense shedding and peeling of the skin. BioRePeel adopts a non-invasive approach by bypassing the epidermis and targeting the dermis in order to address stubborn skin concerns such as acne, large pores, sun damage, pigmentation, and uneven skin texture without intense shedding and prolonged downtime.

Ingredients and their Function

The BioRePeel ingredients include acids, amino acids, and vitamins.

Acids:
35% Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA): This is the main ingredient of the BioRePeel. This acid helps to remove the surface layer of skin and remove imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, and rough/textured skin

Amino Acids:
Amino Acids are constantly involved in the process of creating connective, structural proteins that allow the skin to toughen up while maintaining a smooth texture. They also play a part in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamins:
Antioxidants have a multitude of benefits for the skin, with the most notable being protection from the environment and the ability to even pigmentation and brighten the skin.

What areas can the BioRePeel Treat?

BioRePeel can be used on various areas of the body to address a range of skin concerns, not just limited to the face.
Common areas of treatment include:
Face: used to treat acne, fresh scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and dullness.
Neck and Chest (décolletage): can help to improve the texture and tone of the skin in this area.
Back: can be used to address concerns such as acne and acne scarring on the back.
Hands: can help to improve the appearance of the skin on the hands.

As always, it’s essential to consult with our providers to understand if BioRePeel is the right fit to address specific skin concerns and problem areas. Each first session Is paired with a consultation prior to treatment.

How many sessions will I need, and what is the expected downtime?

Patients need about four sessions, on average, spaced approximately a week apart. Unlike traditional chemical peels, there is very little downtime with the BioRePeel. Most patients will experience extremely minimal peeling/shedding if any at all. You can resume normal day-to-day activities while continuing to protect your skin from the sun. During the time period in which you are completing the series of peels, you will be instructed to stop the use of your normal skincare regime, and post-care will be explained in the office.
