Alma Hybrid

After extensive research, Cameo Facial Aesthetics has chosen the Alma Hybrid laser to add to our aesthetics services. The Alma Hybrid is the most advanced CO2 system on the market. It has both 70 watts CO2 and 1570 WL energies all in one system. Competitor Co2 systems are generally less than 70 watts, typically at 30 to 50 watts. This means that more passes and longer treatment times are required to achieve the same results. Most other competitors’ devices layer combination treatments, extending out treatment times in the office.

Why should you add the Alma Hybrid to your beauty regime?

Alma puts the 1570 and CO2 in the same hand-piece allowing for simultaneous delivery resulting in a dramatic reduction in treatment delivery times. It’s important to note that this is not new technology. Both CO2 (ablative) and 1570 (nonablative) are already gold standard treatments. Alma redesigned the delivery of these two proven treatments into one system to achieve transformative results and customizable delivery.

  • The ONLY randomized delivery of CO2 and non-ablative on the market
  • Better results in fewer treatments
  • Less downtime! Recovery time is about 50% less than competitor devices.
  • 1570 is proven to shrink down oil (sebaceous) glands, therefore it can be used to treat cystic acne and active acne.
  • The Hybrid is simultaneously providing deep dermal remodeling and effective resurfacing through the use of CO2 and the 1570 wavelength.
  • Key targets: Collagen remodeling, Skin thickening/tightening, Scaring, Acne, Rosacea, Sun damage, Pigment, Texture.
How is Cameo’s Alma Hybrid laser different from traditional CO2 treatments?
Traditional CO2 devices typically deliver aggressive and deeply ablative injuries and require precise delivery from the treatment provider. Treatments on the full face typically take 1.5-2h to complete in order to see suitable treatment results. Healing time is extended with traditional CO2 because of the greater amount of ablation or controlled injury required to see a result. Traditionally healing time could take weeks to months to complete, with redness lasting up to 6 months following aggressive treatments. The Alma Hybrid combines CO2 technology for effective resurfacing but adds in the additional benefit of the 1570 nonablative wavelength. This combination allows you to treat with less aggressive CO2 settings (resurfacing) while still penetrating deep into the dermal layer with the 1570 WL creating much more dermal repair. The result: less time to deliver treatments, dramatically reduced healing times, increased customizations of treatment settings, and the ability to achieve better results in fewer treatments.
What are CO2 and 1570?
CO2 is resurfacing or ablative, it is removing degraded tissues forcing new healthy tissue to regenerate in its place. 1570 is nonablative (does not cut or pierce the skin). It creates a powerful thermal effect that promotes new dermal remodeling while leaving the epidermis intact. Because the dermal layer is the thickest layer of the skin and contains the most collagen and elastin, improvements to this layer will show the most noticeable results for many skin concerns.
What is Alma Hybrid?
The Alma Hybrid combines both CO2 and the 1570 wavelength all in one treatment which allows for better results and less downtime. The Hybrid treats scarring, acne, rosacea, sun damage, texture, skin thickening/tightening, and collagen remodeling.
How does it work?
Alma Hybrid CO2 is resurfacing/ablating the skin, removing degraded tissue, and forcing new healthy tissue to grow in its place, while the 1570 is leaving the surface of the skin in place and delivering microbeams deep into the dermis.
Who is a good candidate?
We have seen anyone from their early 20s all the way to their 90s get the Hybrid treatment. By customizing the settings we can treat a variety of skin concerns. From a simple “glow up” all the way to someone looking for very aggressive CO2 treatment.
How many treatments are required?
During your consultation, your Cameo Facial Aesthetics provider will assess your skin to personalize a treatment plan for you. Best results are typically seen after 3 treatments, although noticeable improvements will be seen after 1 treatment.
How long does each treatment take?
For a full face resurfacing procedure we typically schedule an hour – this allows time for the application of topical anesthetic with the actual treatment taking about 15 minutes.
Does it hurt?
All resurfacing treatments come with some level of discomfort. Many patients report feeling hot in the treatment area. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the treatment area for comfort.
What is the recovery time?
This will vary depending on the treatment plan recommended by your provider. You may experience a few days up to a few weeks of mild to moderate redness and swelling depending on treatment settings.
